This report presents the final findings from the local evaluation of the Tyne Gateway Child Poverty Innovation Pilot.
A “programme theory logic model‟ with accompanying detailed narrative presented the detail of the pilot, the way in which parents/families have been targeted and the outputs and outcomes that have been achieved.
Tyne Gateway must be understood as a highly innovative pilot that has tenaciously taken on the challenge of delivering more effective and efficient routes out of poverty for families in Tyneside. It sought to do this most directly through provision of employment whilst, simultaneously, tackling the range of barriers to escaping poverty and achieving sustainable employment. The key activities have been the development and employment of Community Entrepreneurs and Community Projects.
